Nathan "Deacon" Hoffman | CFII
Nathan "Deacon" Hoffman combines expertise in adult education and curriculum development with business leadership and operational experience. His educational background informs his approach to designing effective training, developing instructors, and helping pilots achieve lasting proficiency.
A retired USAF Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), Deacon brings experience from high-stakes operational environments where preparation, teamwork, and sound judgment are essential. His background also includes aviation support to disaster response and search-and-rescue operations, providing a practical perspective on the role of aviation in complex, real-world situations. His management of diverse government contracts adds experience in organizational leadership, resource management, and performance oversight.
As a Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII), he translates these experiences into practical, learner-centered training focused on technical proficiency, aeronautical decision-making, and aviation safety. His additional experience in ministry, counseling, and teaching reinforces his commitment to mentorship, integrity, and individual growth.
As owner and chief instructor of L30 Flight Academy, Nathan brings education, management, and operational insight together to prepare pilots for the demands of real-world flying.
